Psychotherapy is the treatment of emotional difficulties and/or mental illnesses in a safe non-judgmental atmosphere. It is used to alleviate and/or eliminate emotional distress caused by a variety of life events. There are several types of psychotherapy treatments available, which are often used in conjunction with other affective therapies. Therapy sessions can be short term, addressing more immediate and current issues, to long-term sessions addressing more deep-seeded and intricate issues. Psychotherapy is used to treat groups, couples, individuals and especially children.
About 75 percent of people who enter psychotherapy show some benefit from it. Psychotherapy has been shown to improve emotions and behaviors and to be linked with positive changes in the brain and body. The benefits also include fewer sick days, less disability, fewer medical problems, and increased work and relationship satisfaction.

ADHD is a far more common mental condition that effects people, which starts during childhood--and more often than not--into adulthood, than most would like to accept. ADHD is, at times, not diagnosed as a reason why children may display disruptiveness, low motivation or lack of attention. This is largely due to the fact that there is a lack of knowledge on behalf of parents and educators of the condition. Your child may categorized under one of three subtypes of ADHD, such as; Predominantly Inattentive Type, Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Type, or a combination of the two types. Symptoms include some or all of the following; hyperactivity, difficulty with focus and concentration, impulsiveness and constant fidgetiness.
Our non-medicinal approach is designed to improve your child's ability to learn, process information and to lead a more productive and confident educational & personal life.
